Why Not Take All Of Me?

All of me – why not take (come on get) all of meMusic Notes
Cant you see – Im no good (just a mess) without you
~Frank Sinatra

Above are the lyrics to the old standard, All of Me.  They seem to fit perfectly into my current experience. I think that human beings on the spiritual path, well we are all on the spiritual path. Some consciously, and others… not so much. LOL!

As human beings, we have struggled since the Fall of Man with the quandry of integration of our Spirit  Self and our Human-ness.  It may be that in the fallout caused by the error thinking of Adam and Eve, that their limiting belief in the illusion of  separation from God caused some disharmony between these once unified parts of our being.

Whatever the case, and in no small part due to some erroneous thinking of our own; we may have believed that our human-ness (esp. our not so lovable parts) was something to be conquered, subdued and overcome.  From our earliest days of memory, we are conditioned to suppress and hide our more colorful emotions in our pursuit of acceptance through conformity and external validation.

We have been taught to subconsciously loathe and even despise those parts of ourselves that personify our percieved human weakness.  We silently wish for a scapel strong enough to amputate our emotional warts so that we can quickly discard them at the nearest toxic dump without a backward look.

I think it is one of God’s greatest pleasures for us to allow Him to do the work of transforming those parts of ourselves that we think are ugly and unlovely into something beautiful for His use!

Examine the following passage of scripture:

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

It can sometimes appear that our human-ness with all of its faults and frailties, is a cross that must be born. But do as Jesus did! Scorn the shame of that error thinking. Focus on the joy that is set before you if you allow your human experience to hone and perfect your evolution as a Spirit Being. That is where the mastery and authority rests. That is the right hand of the throne of God in all of its glory!

And again this passage says:

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Phillippians 1:6

What a powerful promise! Remember, that it is not you who will complete the good work!

Allow God to do His job confident that you will arrive at that perfect balance of God expressing Himself in, as, and through you!

Remember, beloved ones…we signed on for this! This opportunity to be a Spirit Being, having a human experience! The key is to have the experience, not let the experience have us! Have the experience consciously! Use your human-ness to deepen and widen your evolution as a Spirit Being!

Go within to find the One who will bring the balance and complete the work. No evolution without involution.

Rest confidently in your unity and oneness with Spirit at all the levels of your being and love what is!

As human beings,
our greatness lies not so much
in being able to remake the world
as in being able to remake ourselves.

~ Mahatma Gandhi ~
