Lead With Your Light Part 2

In the last post of this series we discussed the difference between longing and desire.

Longing has its focus on lack or what is missing. Like wishing, it places us in a position of limited possibility. What you focus on grows larger. Inside the web of longing, one tends to feel powerless to change their circumstance.

Desire is of the Father… it is the Formless Consciousness from which we create the life we choose. Desire is the stirring within your soul for All that tends toward Life. Desire is a place of Infinite Possibilities and Power! Inside desire lay the seeds of Wholeness and the key to the Authority of the Concious Co-Creator.

From the space of our God-Realized desire, we may  “Lead with our Light”!

Knowing, that everything you need lies inside the Kingdom within and is already in your possession, you are at peace!

We create, or uncover desire from becoming present to what it is we want in the deepest way possible. When you are ready to Lead With Your Light, you will seek:

  • Not the gift but the Giver
  • Not the thing…but the state of consciousness from which it arises

Life is consciousness. Life is spiritual not physical.

To the degree to which we can understand these basic Truths, we will create the life we want.

Remember that you already create the life that you choose consciously or unconsciously. Whether you live as a beggar or a monarch inside your Kingdom is up to you.

Do you desire joy, peace, wealth, luxury, security or opulence? No matter, they are all within you. Access your desire through your emotion! Feel the experience of joy, peace, wealth or whatever you desire.

Emotion = Energy in Motion

Many of us are used to the emotions of depression, lack, sadness and confusion. Expand your consciousness to include your natural state of Being. Feast on the feelings that tend toward Life!

“How do I do this?”, you may ask. Practice is the answer.

Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

As you shape your consciousness with your feelings of love, joy and gratitude you cannot fail to change your world!

In the next installment of this series we will discuss moving from “desire” to “conviction”.

This post is a continuation of  “Don’t Lead with Your Need”.

LifeQuakes

Today is a day that will go down in history for those of us living on the East Coast. Many of us experienced our first earthquake. Yes, you heard me right! A 5.9 on the richter scale! It came without warning,  introductions or explanation.

I was on the phone with my sister when the rumbles began. It sounded like a freight train coming down the middle of my street. So foreign was the concept of “earthquake” to my experience, that I ran outside convinced that the source of the shaking must be something, anything but what it actually was. Mumbling to my sister, “I’ll call you right back”, I hung up the phone in a daze.  The earth stopped moving, but my mind was reeling in the aftermath of the sheer power of this experience!

There are words in a sacred text which declare “All that can be shaken will be shaken so that which cannot be moved will remain…”

Circumstances in life can appear suddenly with no apparent warning of which we are consciously aware shaking us to our core. Circumstances requiring our immediate and undivided attention which can leave us dazed, numb or paralyzed with fear wondering what just happened?

When the “aftershocks” have passed, at last we turn within to the business of rebuilding and putting ourselves and our lives back together. For those open to the gifts present in the hand of even the most adverse circumstances, something solidifies and creates a kind of fortitude that becomes immovable and unshakeable!

Consider the following text from Matthew 27: 51-53

51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Metaphysically, quakes represents a “shift”.  A movement from one mindset to another,  a change from one course of action to another, a testing of stability and a separation of that which is temporal from that which is eternal. The old way of being, the graves, are opened and the mind is freed and resurrected. We are transformed and the veil of the illusion of separation between us and that which is Holy is rent in two.

The rocks of old core beliefs, behaviors and patterns… those things that no longer serve us are split and the sleeper awakens. Having been transformed, we seek to become vessels of transformation. We remember once again, humbled by the Power of our quake and empowered by its passing, that we are Conscious Co-Creators with God in our own lives. We remember that we are here to be about our Father’s business as citizens of the Holy City!

We appear unto ourselves as the Perfect, Whole and Light-filled beings that we truly are at our very core, no longer entangled by the seductions of our lives as something that we… and we alone control.

I close with a quote from the Tao:

Tao #16 ~ Cycles / Circles

 Empty your mind of thought
dwell in DivineUnity
being
Serenity

Watch the web of life
weave into existence
all that we observe
all moves within a circle
all life returns
to the roots in the soil

Source of serenity
absorbed in eternity
this is our destiny

Denial is catastrophe

Our lives are not circumscribed
we are not our bodies
Knowing the Tao
we release all fear
Being the Tao
We live forever…

Beloved know this when lifequakes come…

That which can be shaken has been created in order that what cannot be shaken may remain.

Don’t Lead with Your Need

“You must lay aside your greed; have no unworthy motive in your desire to become rich and powerful. It is legitimate and right to desire riches, if you want them for the sake of your soul, but not if you desire them for the lusts of the flesh.”
~Wallace D. Wattles Quotes from The Science of Being Great

In the month of May, I went through a Dark Night of the Soul. After my second year of lengthy unemployment, and some attempts at online marketing which were not yeilding the results I thought they should, I felt ready to throw up my hands.

Financially, I felt like I was drowning and needed someone to throw me a lifeline quick, fast and in a hurry! Spiritually, I knew that there was Infinite Supply. But when Pepco turned off my lights because I couldn’t pay the bill, I thought that someone oughta’ tell God that “Infinite Supply” wasn’t showing up in my bank account!

Suddenly, I was 9 years old again, hungry and hearing my mother crying about how little we had. My childhood taught me to believe strongly in “Not Enough”.  I had plenty of experience with lack and struggle around money. Now I was ready to choose a new experience!

I know now to ask each experience what it is here to teach me. I know that every experience, no matter how challenging, offers a gift if we have the courage to recieve it. Those experiences that have caused us to feel pain come up to be healed by us and to offer the opportunity of healing to us.

And so sitting in the darkness, I asked for healing and I let the learning begin.

As human beings we want to “control” our world and arrange our universe so that we can avoid pain and perceived suffering. Ironically, it is that need to control that causes most of the pain and suffering that we experience.

So when the lights came back on, my solution to not having that experience again was to get “busy”!  Busy looking for a traditional job which I told God I didn’t want anyway, then starting with an MLM, printing up business cards, setting up websites and other platforms to push product…the busy list was endless!

Part of my healing around the energy of money, was the divine opportunity to work one-on-one with Johanna Dolan, a Financial Coach. As we pull back the layers together, some very clear patterns have begun to emerge.  One of the major ones was the memory of “longing”.

Longing is defined as: “Strong, persistent craving, a yearning especially for something unattainable or distant.”  I knew “longing” now I wanted to learn how to “desire”. The word desire actually means… of the Father.  Desire is a strong feeling, worthy or unworthy, that impels to the attainment or possession of something that is (in reality or imagination) within reach: a desire for success.

Most of us confuse “Longing” and “Desire”. They are two very different things!

Longing = unattainable and out of reach.  It’s the carrot that the ego dangles in front of you on a constant basis.

Desire = attainable and within reach. Desires are of the Father and originate from Source.

Longing keeps the focus on what’s missing. Focusing on lack creates more lack. Inside longing, you operate from a place of “neediness” and you don’t truly believe that what you ask for is possible for you anyway. When you put this energy out into the world people feel it and you come across as inauthentic and self-serving.

Desire gives attention to that which you already possess whether or not it has become manifest in the tangible world yet. Inside desire you are present to every wonderful possibility! You know you already have what you have requested from the Father. Instead of “busyness” and struggle you feel an ease and a natural flow. Instead of leading with your need, you lead with your Light! When you put this energy out into the world, everything you create works! People respond readily to your love and authenticity! You create from a place of wholeness knowing that nothing is missing or lacking and that energy is returned to you in kind!

So in closing:

  •  Practice releasing resistance to your desires!
  • Let longing go!
  • Lead with your Light!

In our next post we will discuss how to create desire and build our capacity to allow desire to create a life we want!

15 Reasons to Buy Gold

If you are under the impression that Gold prices are set to fall significantly, you could be right. But, remember that it will rise again.

KB Gold is the first global cash for gold currency exchange program that allows you to buy small increments of gold affordably.

Those in the know agree, that KB GOLD is a store of value not an investment and that the spot price of gold is irrelevent. KB GOLD is about protecting your family in time of crisis because it can be utilized as a means of barter in a time of crisis.

The vaults that KB uses in Switzerland are a safe haven to store assets that dont fall under countries seizure laws. If you have gold you always have money.

Gold is considered “wealth insurance”.

Study fiat currencies over the thousands of years. They have gone bankrupt every single time!

Here are 15 reasons to buy with KB Gold:

1. Global Currency Debasement
The U.S. dollar is fundamentally and technically very weak and should fall dramatically over the next few years. However, other countries are very reluctant to see their currencies appreciate and are resisting the fall of the U.S. dollar. Thus, we are in the early stages of a massive global currency debasement which will see tangibles, and most particularly gold, rise significantly in price.

2. Rising Investment Demand
When the crowd recognizes what is unfolding, they will seek an alternative to paper currencies and financial assets and this will create an enormous investment demand for gold. Own both the physical metal and select mining shares.

3. Alarming Financial Deterioration in the U.S.
In the space of two years, the federal government budget surplus has been transformed into a yawning deficit, which will persist as far as the eye can see. At the same time, the current account deficit has reached levels, which has portended currency collapse in virtually every other instance in history.

4. Negative Real Interest Rates in Reserve Currency (U.S. Dollar)
To combat the deteriorating financial conditions in the U.S., interest rates have been dropped to rock bottom levels, real interest rates are now negative and, according to statements from the Fed spokesmen, are expected to remain so for some time. There has been a very strong historical relationship between negative real interest rates and stronger gold prices.

5. Dramatic Increases in Money Supply in the US and Other Nations
Authorities are terrified about the prospects for deflation given the unprecedented debt burden at all levels of society in the U.S. Fed Governor Ben Bernanke is on record as saying the Fed has a printing press and will use it to combat deflation if necessary. Other nations are following in the U.S.’s footsteps and global money supply is accelerating. This is very gold friendly.

6. Existence of a Huge and Growing Gap between Mine Supply and Traditional Demand
Mined gold is roughly 2,500 tons per year and traditional demand (jewelry, industrial users, etc.) has exceeded this by a considerable margin for a number of years. Some of this gap has been filled by recycled scrap but central bank gold has been the primary source of above-ground supply.

7. Mine Supply is Anticipated to Decline in the next Three to Four Years.
Even if traditional demand continues to erode due to ongoing worldwide economic weakness, the supply/demand imbalance is expected to persist due to a decline in mine supply. Mine supply will contract in the next several years, irrespective of gold prices, due to a dearth of exploration in the post Bre-X era, a shift away from high grading which was necessary for survival in the sub-economic gold price environment of the past five years and the natural exhaustion of existing mines.

8. Large Short Positions
To fill the gap between mine supply and demand, Central Bank gold has been mobilized primarily through the leasing mechanism, which facilitated producer hedging and financial speculation. Strong evidence suggests that between 10,000 and 16,000 tons (30-50% of all Central Bank gold) is currently in the market. This is owed to the Central Banks by the bullion banks, which are the counter party in the transactions.

9. Low Interest Rates Discourage Hedging
Rates are low and falling. When the futures price is above the expected future spot price. Consequently, the price will decline to the spot price before the delivery date.) to create higher prices in the out years. Thus there is little incentive to hedge and gold producers are not only not hedging, they are reducing their existing hedge positions, thus removing gold from the market.

10. Rising Gold Prices and Low Interest Rates Discourage Financial Speculation on the Short Side.
When gold prices were continuously falling and financial speculators could access Central Bank gold at a minimal leasing rate (0.5 – 1% per year), sell it and reinvest the proceeds in a high yielding bond or Treasury bill, the trade was viewed as a lay-up. Everyone did it and now there are numerous stale short positions. However, these trades now make no sense with a rising gold price and declining interest rates.

11. The Central Banks are at an Inflection Point when they will be Reluctant to Provide more Gold
The Central Banks have supplied too much already via the leasing mechanism. In addition, Far Eastern Central Banks who are accumulating enormous quantities of U.S. Dollars are rumored to be buyers of gold to diversify away from the U.S. Dollar.

12. Gold is Increasing in Popularity
Gold is seen in a much more positive light in countries beginning to come to the forefront on the world scene. Prominent developing countries such as China, India and Russia have been accumulating gold. In fact, China with its 1.3 billion people recently established a National Gold Exchange and relaxed control over the asset. Demand in China is expected to rise sharply and could reach 500 tons in the next few years.

13. Gold as Money is Gaining Credence
Islamic nations are investigating a currency backed by gold (the Gold Dinar), the new President of Argentina proposed, during his campaign, a gold backed peso as an antidote for the financial catastrophe which his country has experienced and Russia is talking about a fully convertible currency with gold backing.

14. Rising Geopolitical Tensions
The deteriorating conditions in the Middle East, the U.S. occupation of Iraq, the nuclear ambitions of North Korea and the growing conflict between the U.S. and China due to China’s refusal to allow its currency to appreciate against the U.S. dollar headline the geopolitical issues, which could explode at anytime. A fearful public has a tendency to gravitate towards gold.

15. Limited Size of the Total Gold Market Provides Tremendous Leverage
All the physical gold in existence is worth somewhat more than $1 trillion U.S. Dollars while the value of all the publicly traded gold companies in the world is less than $100 billion US dollars. When the fundamentals ultimately encourage a strong flow of capital towards gold and gold equities, the trillions upon trillions worth of paper money could propel both to unfathomably high levels.

Conclusion
Gold is under-valued, under-owned and under-appreciated. It is most assuredly not well understood by most investors. At the beginning of the 1970’s when gold was about to undertake its historic move from $35 to $800 per ounce in the succeeding ten years, the same observations would have been valid. The only difference this time, is that the fundamentals for gold are actually better.

What Keepin’ The Faith Really Means!

Faith is a bird that feels dawn breaking and sings while it is still dark.
 – Rabindranath Tagore

Headlines are screaming about war and rumors of wars, you practically feel like you have to sign over your firstborn at the gas pump….and flooding, earthquakes and natural disasters are taking place all over the world.

Many are feeling some sense of pain, loss, confusion or at the very least…some trepidation about what’s next.

The fearmongerers are screaming loud and long…and gaining more support everyday.

The magnetic pull of the negative and panic-stricken collective consciousness bears heavy on the soul.

And so, I pose the question…what does keeping the faith really mean for us now?

In my humble opinion, it has to do with maintaining a place of balance, truth and sanctuary amidst the chaos and craziness created by the blaring of the media horns.

It has to do with holding a space of sanity and peace for those who cannot or will not hold it for themselves.

Tao #26 has this to say about staying centered:

Heavy is the root of light
the faster we go,
we slow down time
standing still
we are the masters of speed

Thus the wise travel
all day without leaving their vehicles
the scenery is accepted
without undue excitement

My beloved friends, hold your course…stay on track! Be still and know God!

Be like a tree planted by the rivers of water and bring forth your fruit!

As the Psalmist said…”I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved .(Psalm 16:8 KJV).

Look not to the right hand nor to the left but remove your foot from evil. In this case, evil being everything that is unlike LOVE which cast out fear.

And my friends, not for nothing, are the Children of Light are also called “The Faithful”!

Another sacred text we know describes the essence of faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

You are anointed as WayShowers, Truthtellers, and Keepers of the Light!

Put on the whole armour of God and stand having done all to stand!

And I close with a quote from Robert Schuller, “Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines.”

The guidelines only ever point in one direction…”up”!

As above…so below!

Keep the faith my friends…keep the faith!

You Must Be This Tall to Ride this Ride…

I am a person who feels everything very deeply. At times, this is great. At other times…it’s not so great at all.

There were times in my life when I found myself on an endless emotional rollercoaster making myself sick. When I wasn’t on the rollercoaster, I was on the emotional merry-go-round… making myself dizzy.

Yes, the highs and lows might be fun for a while…but eventually, you just want to get off the ride!

Finding balance is one of the keys to Mastery. Understanding your emotions, what they are, and the purpose that they serve helps you to find the balance.

Philippians 3:19 God’s Word Translation says:

“In the end they will be destroyed. Their own emotions are their god, and they take pride in the shameful things they do. Their minds are set on worldly things.”

Living life based on your emotions, creates a life that we don’t want. Eventually, it destroys our relationships and our stability. We think that life is what we feel and we miss the truth mired in the complex web of our feeling nature.

Understand feelings are just passing through. See them, observe them, honor them…but do not build your proverbial house on them. They are like sifting sand and your house will not stand.

Build instead on those things that are eternal, lasting and not fleeting like the waves of your emotions. Be willing to ask Spirit to help you see situations and people clearly and not through the filters of your feelings.

Your feelings are a barometer to those things you need to become aware of about yourself. They are also to be used to give energy to what you are creating for yourself and your life. They are a wonderful gift…but they are not who you are.

Next time you come to an emotional roller coaster….visualize a sign that says:

“You must be this tall to ride this ride….”  See the height measurement as wayyyyyy….above your head and pass on to the ride marked… The Tunnel of Love!

You will find it’s a much more peaceful ride and best of all…no height requirement needed!

Responsible Happiness

“Happiness isn’t something that depends on our surroundings…It’s something we make inside ourselves.”
— Corrie ten Boom

It’s my birthday and like a thousand times before I am waiting
Waiting on my partner to create me some happiness!
But, my partner is… who my partner is… and there is no special birthday plan forthcoming.
Instead, I find myself feeling keenly disappointed and wondering why I am here…again?
My mind goes back to my childhood and the ghosts of birthdays past where I waited on my mother or others to make a special day… special.
I discover I have been in wait mode a long time, and at 44 years old, I am not too old to learn something new about me.

All that we need to be happy is within us. What a wonderful truth! It has nothing to do with the conditions or the content of our lives. We can all choose happiness at any moment.

You are not waiting to be happy. Happiness is waiting for you!

A Course In Miracles Lesson 103 says:

“Happiness is an attribute of love. It cannot be apart from it. Nor can it be experienced where love is not. Love has no limits, being everywhere. And therefore joy is everywhere as well.”

There is much in life that we do not control. What we always have a say-so about, is the way we show up in our lives. The way we “respond” to life allows us to express and experience the Love that we are.

We are responsible for our own happiness!  Every-single-solitary-day!

(Including, but not limited to…birthdays!)
When we believe anything else, then we are giving our power away… and we place unrealistic expectations on someone else!

So go and get your happiness on!

Affirm this from A Course in Miracles Lesson 103:

God, being Love, is also happiness.

And it is happiness I seek today.

I cannot fail, because I seek the truth.

RingBearer

“You are a ringbearer Frodo…

To bear the ring of power is to be alone…”

Galadriel The Elf Queen from Fellowship of the Ring

We enter this world alone and we leave it as we came.

We are all “ringbearers”…travelers on a holy quest to turn back the dark hordes of the ego’s madness.  We battle our human condition that peace may reign… and so we may come to experience our happily-ever-after.

Though we are alone, we do not have to feel or be lonely. We are alone…but we are not unsupported!

In fact, many wise one’s have seen that the word alone means “All-One”.

The ego would have us believe that we are separated from everyone and everything. The ego would have us believe that we are not loved or supported. Especially in times of uncertainty or fear when the weight of the ring of our human suffering seems heaviest.

The ego is a specialist in projecting the illusion of separation.

A Course in Miracles says: “Illusions are investments. They will last as long as you value them. Values are relative, but they are powerful because they are mental judgements.”

Thank God for the work of the Holy Spirit!

A Course In Miracles says: “The Holy Spirit is the Christ Mind which is aware of the knowledge that lies beyond perception.”

If you feel lonely or lost today, turn within and call upon the Holy Spirit to offer you the support and assistance which are always yours. Be “At-Onement” with the Truth of your being. Know that Truth is not limited by your circumstances or experience.

Value what is real! The connection that we all have with each other and the Love that you are is real and ever-present. Invest in the faith that is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

Tao Te #56  calls this our Primal Identity

Those who know don’t say.
Those who talk don’t know.

Close the mouth, hold your breath
allow the flow, just let it rest

Block the corridors.
Close the doors, file the edges, dull the points.
Untie the tangles.
Loosen the knots.

Let go of fears, allow the love.
Soften the glare, be one with the dust

This is the primal identity…
which is called DivineUnity

A profound mystery that sets you free!

He who is at one
cannot be put down, will not be puffed up
cannot be enmeshed, nor enmired…

Cannot be insulted
disgraced or even honored
is immune to infection
loss or gain…does not suffer
when feeling pain.

He cannot be fired
nor can he be hired…

He cannot be courted
nor shunned
helped nor harmed…

He is the noblest of the world
Thus he treasures the universe.

Beloved, be gentle with yourself.

Remember this:

1Corinthians 10:13  13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Frodo had Sam Wise. You too, will be given what you need to surrender your “ring of power” to the fires of transformation! Know you are supported by Heaven itself !

Be of good courage travelers, and may your heart be strengthened!

You Owe Me Nothing

Even after all this time,
the sun never says to the earth,
“You owe me.”
Look what happens with a love like that…
It lights the whole sky!
~Hafiz

The way that most human beings experience love… is through the filter of our egos.

The personality,  formed by fear …and to keep us from what we fear will bring us pain and suffering, cannot perceive a love without conditions. Strangely, loving conditionally creates conditions that are not very loving at all.

A Course in Miracles says:

“No love in this world is without this ambivalence, and since no ego has experienced love without ambivalence the concept is beyond its understanding…”

  • Are you still punishing someone you say you love… for not loving you… in the way you want to experience love?
  • Is there someone anywhere you feel owes you something… be it love or money?
  • Does your woundedness or past hurt still require payment?

I encourage you today to release all debtors in your heart and mind!

Be free to feel and experience the Love and Light that you are as a Spirit Being having… a human experience!

A Course In Miracles says:

“Love will enter immediately into any mind that truly wants it, but it must want it truly. This means that it wants it without ambivalence, and this kind of wanting is wholly without the ego’s ‘drive to get’.”

Only be strong and very courageous!

Say to those who you have held indebted to you…”You Owe Me Nothing!”

There is a Love so wonderful…it will warm the earth and light the sky!

Look what happens with a Love like that!

It will never experience the pain and bondage that “You Owe Me” brings ever again!

(I dedicate this post to my inspirational muse, Jen Anandi Tallman…thank you!)

Get Your Shine On!

And now, Father, let me have glory with you, even that glory which I had with you before the world was…John 17:5

When I was a little girl visiting my grandmother during holidays or special occasions, she would take out her best china and her special silverware.

The silverware was in a beautiful wooden box with a red velvet lining.

She would remove it gently from the shelf and run her hands reverently across the box before opening it. Inside the box was her treasured silverware set, a beautiful pattern of leaves and flowers.

It was magical to my child’s eyes! The silver seemed to glow with some unseen power! “It’s so pretty!”, I exclaimed clapping my hands together in delight.

“Yes”, my grandma would say, “But, it’s not ready for the table just yet!”  Together, we would polish the silver with soft cloths and cleaning solution until it gleamed so brightly, it appeared to be winking at us!

We are like my grandmother’s silver. Like the silver, we are beautiful and glowing, valuable and precious… awaiting the gentle hand of Spirit to polish us until we shine our brightest!

You are no less worthy or valuable because you are covered with the tarnish of life’s disappointments, perceived losses or failures!

Pray as Jesus did, “Father return unto me the glory that I had with Thee from the beginning!”

You have been all that you desired to be… since before the world was made!

So today….Get Your Shine On!
